What is the difference between actual weight and dimensional (Volumetric) weight?
The actual weight is the real weight of the package. The dimension weight is the weight where the package dimension is considered.
Example: If you have a wooden bar to be shipped, the dimension weight (Kg) will be calculated by applying the following formula: W (width) X L (Length) X H (Height) in cm divided by 5000 then the result will represent the dimensional (Volumetric) weight in (Kg).
When your package is accepted at SMSA. service center, both actual and dimensional weight will be checked, and the higher value will be used to calculate the shipping rate.
